About the trail

Pickle Gulch is a trail near Blackhawk. Short drive on upper Hamlin trail thru Columbine Campground to connect you to Pickle Gulch. It starts hard, goes through rock gardens, tight trees, lots of mining history on the way. Drive is very rewarding thru beautiful aspens to a saddle surrounded by the views of Front Range mountains.

You get to drive thru the ghost town of Apex to get to the Elk meadow to reach amazing Miners Gulch.

Miner’s Gulch trail almost seems like you are magically transported to Northwest part of the country with tall trees, creeks crossings and thick timber.  The creek runoff is heavy in spring, it almost feels like driving in the creek.

Booking an individual trail is not possible due to weather conditions, driver experience level, etc.

Please book a tour and we will consult with you on the best trails for your reservation date!
