Who made our Jeep trails?

The miners of the 1800s were hard men blazing paths through hard rock. The first to trod would have been a lone miner with his trusted donkey.

Then came the donkey trains, expanding the trails wider. Today, some of those trails are our Jeep roads connecting us to our mining past.

Education & Protection

Jeep trails are National Forest public lands. We all own these forests and the roads that access them. With so much public land we must be entrusted to protect and maintain these resources for our future generations.

Our mission is to educate every client to be a good forest steward and to spread that knowledge forward.

WOW. What an experience! I’m from Australia, and it has always been my dream to visit Colorado and do a mountain adventure. This experience with Native Jeeps definitely ticked the box and surpassed all my expectations. From the start to the end, we were looked after so well.

We started out in their business shop, and from there, we were already driving the Jeeps ourselves. We all had walkie-talkies which were fun, and we got to learn so much about the town and mountain. The best part was some of the challenging drives we did, and the tour guides helped us navigate this.

I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a really fun and unique adventure!!

This is a MUST DO for everyone! We took our 3 and 7 year old, and they had a blast too! It was truly the highlight of our trip.

We went in late September, and there were stops to take pictures of the beautiful fall colors. Brandon and Alma provided excellent handling instructions for the Jeep. We had never driven a Jeep and due to their guidance, we had no trouble navigating the moderate terrain.

Through walkie talkies, Brandon and Alma provide hilarious anecdotes and interesting historical facts about nature, mines/mining, jeeps, and Colorado in general along the way. It just FANTASTIC. The experience is dog friendly too!

WOW! What an amazing and very special experience this tour is. We had one of the most memorable vacations because of this tour.

Branden and Alma were incredibly nice and knowledgeable tour guides who provided information about the surroundings, the mining history of the area, natural and man made structures along the way, the Jeep’s we drove, and most importantly the correct way to off-road.

Everything was documented for us and we had many chances to stop and admire the fantastic views you could only get to see if in a Jeep like theirs. It was worth the money and we will be returning to do some more difficult trails in the future.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. It was one of the best experiences my husband and I have had on any of our kid-free vacations.

Brandon & Alma were absolutely wonderful and so knowledgeable. Not only was being able to drive our own jeep fantastic, we also got to hear the interesting history of the town. The trail was great with varying difficulties and great for really anyone. I would definitely recommend Native Jeeps to anyone!

If you’re on this page because you’re debating on if it’s worth it, TRUST ME IT IS! Just do it! You’re paying for the experience and it is well worth the money. We will definitely be back as well on our next trip out to CO!
